Having trouble on the walk with your dog, or do you completely dread it?
Kindred Dog PDX can help!
On Saturday, July 11th you're in luck, because we are giving a free dog walk lesson to the first 20 dog owners who sign up!
A structured walk is a walk that shows you how to properly communicate with your dog in a way that he/she understands using various tools, your energy, and body language. We want to show you that you do not have to struggle with walking your dog, it can and should be a very calming, relaxing activity and one that, if done right, strengthens the bond between you and your dog.
Things you'll need for the Walk Lesson
Prong Collar - All dogs are required to have a herm sprenger training collar. You can purchase one from me on the day of (subject to availability). You can also purchase one on Amazon, or purchase one from a local retailer such as Urban Fauna or Nature's Pet Market. If your dog is under 10 pounds, please bring a micro training collar. (Don't worry about sizing the collar, we will show you how to do this during the lesson.)
Leash - You will also need to bring a 4-6 foot leash (no flexi-leashes). You can purchase one from me on the day of (subject to availability).

What Else Should I Know?
The lesson will last for about two hours.
When everyone arrives please keep distance from other walkers and dogs initially for respect and safety reasons. No dog should ever meet face to face on leash, everyone should refrain from using high pitched voices and be as calm and low-key as possible. Limit one person per dog.
